Praise from a U.S. History Teacher in Mansfield, TX

Dear Korean War Veterans,

Words cannot express the gratitude that I feel towards you all.  What a truly inspirational presentation you made last week to our students at Summit High School.  I want you all to know that your stories made a tremendous impact on the way that our young people view their country.  I have personally heard the phrase, "Freedom isn't free" several times in every class that I teach.

I also want to personally thank you for the freedom that we all enjoy today.  You each put your life on the line to ensure that we are able to live the life that we do.  My husband served in the military, so your service is a sacrifice that I respect more than you know.

I believe that your words inspired some of our students to consider military service.  I am also quite sure that if called upon, many of our students would now be glad to serve.  Thank you again for taking the time to tell your stories.  We will never forget!
