Photos taken Memorial Day, May 30, 2005. The site has oval walls which do not lend itself to picture
taking as a front view prevents a suitable photo encompassing the outline of the Korean peninsula showing
the 38th parallel, cities and areas of both sections of Korea. In addition, the land slopes downward
toward the harbor.

The Frederick County Memorial is located beside I-70 near the Washington County line and its sister
marker on I-70 at the Carroll County line. After several years of hard work, the stretch of I-70 passing
through Frederick County was dedicated as the "Korean War Veterans Memorial highway" on Sunday May 3rd, 2004
