SafeLink Free Phone Program...

At the Board of Directors Meeting this past July in Washington DC, the TracFone Company made a presentation about SafeLink Wireless, the Free TracFone service available to those veterans who qualify for the program. In return for KWVA's endorsement of this program, the TracFone Company will make a very nice donation to the Korean War Veterans Association. After discussing the presentation, the Board voted to endorse this program.

SAFELINK WIRELESS(r) is a Federal Lifeline-supported service for income eligible households that provides a free phone and free airtime each month to qualifying individuals who apply and are approved for the program. In order to participate in the SafeLink Wireless(r) service, persons must meet certain eligibility requirements set by each state where the service is to be provided.
