UN Memorial Cemetery

PUSAN _ The U.N. Memorial Cemetery contains thousands of tombstones of those who sacrificed their lives during the 1950-53 Korean War under the flag of the United Nations.

In remembrance of their heroic achievement, a total of 40,895 names were engraved on a 166-piece granite monument, unveiled on Oct. 24, which coincided with the 61st anniversary of the founding of the U.N.
