Florida WWII Monument Nears Dedication June 6, 2005

The Florida Department of Veterans Affairs contracted for placement of the World War II Monument on the grounds of the R.A. Gray Building in Tallahassee which houses the “Florida Remembers World War II” permanent museum exhibit dedicated on Veterans’ Day 2004.

The dedication will take place on the 61st Anniversary of D-Day, June 6, 2005 in Tallahassee Florida. The ceremony is to commence at 10 o’clock in the morning followed by a “Celebration on the Plaza” of the R.A. Gray Building, video interviews of World War II veterans under the Library of Congress documentation effort and a patriotic lunch.
